The certificate used for all cardconnect.com domains will be updated on January 18, 2023.
If you are currently using the CardConnect SSL certificate, you will need to update your local certificate by January 18, 2023. This SSL certificate enables encryption of sensitive data between your systems and the user's internet browser.
What’s an SSL certificate?
An SSL certificate is a data file that protects the communication between a website and its users by verifying and encrypting information so that sensitive data isn’t intercepted by any unintended parties.
What do I need to do?
If you are currently using the CardConnect SSL certificate, you must update your local certificate by January 18, 2023.

If you’re using a CardPointe Integrated Terminal, PANpad, or CardPointe Retail Terminal device, you will not be required to make this update.

We updated our local certificate in the UAT environment on January 17th, 2023 at 12 AM EST. You should test your UAT environment to determine if you must replace your local certificate prior to the production environment update on January 18th, 2022 at 9:30 AM EST.
