ACH fees for consolidated merchant accounts are billed through the monthly merchant acquiring statement. This guide explains ACH fee billing, return fees, transaction reporting, billing settings, fee withdrawal accounts, and billing arrangements for merchants with multiple locations.
ACH fees appear in the Fees section of the monthly merchant acquiring statement. Fees are billed on the first calendar day of each month for the previous month's activity.
ACH fees are billed monthly by default. To adjust the billing frequency, update the Discount Frequency setting in the Merchant Services tab of CoPilot.
All ACH return charges, except for R01 (Insufficient Funds) returns, are billed as the ACH Return Item Fee.
R01 returns are billed under the NSF fee.
ACH transaction volume does not appear on the monthly merchant acquiring statement. Merchants can view ACH transaction activity in CardPointe transaction reporting by applying the following filter:
Payment Type = ACH
By default, ACH fees are deducted from the merchant's withdrawal account on file.
To route specific fee types to different bank accounts, submit a ticket in CoPilot using the following path:
Account Updates > Bank Account Change - ACH
Merchants with multiple locations may see ACH billing in two places, depending on the location's billing setup:
Existing locations: May continue to receive separate ACH invoices.
New locations: ACH fees appear on the monthly merchant acquiring statement.
These differences reflect the migration from separate ACH invoicing to consolidated merchant statement billing. As existing accounts transition to the consolidated billing process, ACH billing will be aligned with the new process.
There are no changes to the ACH from Fiserv add-on in CoPilot or the ACH Processing Services Application & Agreement. Existing add-on settings and agreement terms remain unchanged.
