CardConnect, LLC CardPointe Integrated Terminal Application for Clover Terminals Privacy Policy

 

Effective Date This privacy policy is effective as of 4/11/2019.

 

Scope of this Privacy Policy CardConnect, LLC ("us", "we", or "our") operates The CardPointe Integrated Terminal Application for Clover Terminals, Hosted Terminal Service, and CardPointe Gateway Hosted Service (the "Services"/"Applications"). This privacy policy applies to your use of the CardConnect CardPointe Integrated Terminal Application for Clover Terminals and related Hosted Services. It does not apply to your use of other sites, services, or applications, and it does not apply to information we collect through other methods or sources such as sites owned or operated by our affiliates or vendors. Please be sure to review the privacy policy of any site, service, or application that you use as privacy practices often differ.

 

Collecting Personally Identifiable Information We may collect, store, and use the following kinds of personal information:

  • Information you provide to us when you register with our Services and Applications, including your business information, personal contact information, CardConnect merchant ID, and Clover merchant ID.
  • Information about your device, including device type, software version, IP address, terminal service address, terminal service port, Clover serial number, and CardConnect Hardware Serial Number (HSN).
  • Information about your use of the Application, including how you use the Application, such as the timing, length, frequency, and pattern of use, and the pages and screens that you use.
  • Information contained in or relating to any communication that you send to us by phone or email or send through our Support Center website, including documentation feedback or troubleshooting information, and your phone number or email address
  • CardConnect protects cardholder data that flows through the Application and Hosted Services. Cardholder data is only used in the authorization and processing of payments in compliance with Payment Card Industries (PCI) standards and guidelines.

Disclosing Personally Identifiable Information to Third Parties We may disclose personally identifiable information we collect from you to the following third parties, for the purposes specified:

  • Agents. We may disclose your contact information, including your first name, last name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number, to a third party shipping company to facilitate the delivery of your device.
  • Service Providers. We use third parties to provide payment processing services and merchant funding services through our Hosted Services and Applications. When you sign up for our hosted services and applications, we will share your CardConnect merchant account information to the extent necessary in order for the third party to provide that service.
  • Affiliates. We may disclose your personal information to our affiliates, including your point-of-sale software vendor or parent company, in order to provide services and support to you, the merchant, and to your parent company or software vendor. Your parent company or software vendor may retain this information in accordance with the parent company or software vendor’s privacy policy.
  • Other Disclosures. We may also disclose personally identifiable information we collect from you when we are required to do so by law, or when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Hosted Services and Applications.

Making Changes to Your Information This [site/service/app] does not maintain a process by which you can review and make changes to the personally identifiable information we collect from you.

If we do, we will post the revised version here. You should periodically check here for the most up-to-date version of this privacy policy.
